About the event
The hike starts outside The Pulse Coffee Shop at The Malcolm Hotel on Friday, July 18th at 9:00 a.m.
We'll hike into Canmore's coal mining past, visiting the 1887 Canmore No.1 Mine (and beautiful falls). Then we will go along Canmore Creek and continue up to Quarry Lake (yes, coal was mined there!!). We will finish off marveling at an amazing rock outcrop.
This is an easy to moderate 6.7 km roundtrip hike, with a 65 meter elevation gain.
Expected trip length is 3 hours.
All attendees are required to sign the SCPOA waiver form to participate in this activity. Please bring the completed waiver form with you to the event.
The event will take place rain or shine.
