About the event
Join us on this popular hike of the Heart Creek Trail. This hike is an easy 4.3 kilometres "out-and-back" with a 75 metre elevation gain.
We will meet outside The Pulse Cafe in The Malcolm Hotel at 8:30 a.m. to arrange carpooling to the Heart Creek Day Use Area.
This hike will follow Heart Creek up a canyon over ten log bridges. The trail weaves back and forth across Heart Creek multiple times - interspersed with some forest walking. The scenery is beautiful with views of poplar, spruce, pine and Douglas fir trees mingling together, impressive rocks and canyon walls. The cliffs converge at the trail end where you can sit on benches and listen to the sounds of the nearby roaring waterfall!
